Travel Vs. Vacation

I could never understand why people usually ask  “How was your vacation?”  upon a return from a trip. I mean, ok I understand it could be colleagues and you just came back to work, or a student going back to school. We call these time segments vacations, when we go away somewhere to escape our daily routine. What about when we go away to take in the experience of living somewhere unfamiliar. Communicating with  people who don’t speak our language. Humbling ourselves to simplicity, allowing ourselves to try things we normally wouldn't, Walk in someone else’s shoes. In my opinion that  is more of a  "how was your travels", although heavens at times lounging  on a beach, drinking  mojitos is all you want to do for a few days, now that’s a vacation!

                                                  Travel

See the reality is  wether you want to go on a vacation, trip or an expedition the results are always rewarding. Our lives get fluttered with stories that we share of these times. The rewards of traveling  are endless. While textbook education is taught in classrooms, the school of life can be taught from traveling. Pushing your tolerance and acceptance scales to the limit. Learning to adapt to different cultures can only add to the versatility of a person.

Having the desire to go is one thing and actually getting it done is another. We always say “one day I want to go here” and "one day I want to got there” well why one day ? Why not now ?
